Gingerbread Houses!!

A few days before we came to Mesa, Aubree, Amy, Carissa, and I made gingerbread houses (out of grahm crackers of course). We made some frosting and made our houses and decorated them using lots and lots of candy! It was kind of messy, but it was so much fun! And these are the houses that came out of this fun night!

This one was built by the one and only... CARISSA!!! Who else would put one random yellow M&M among the reds and the greens?

And this creative little house is by non other than... Aubree!! She was finally able to get a house to stay up!! Yay!!

And this beautiful... well it's not exactly a house... but it's Amy's!! The reason her's is a snowman and not a house is because Amy was also having troubles keeping her house up, and so Carissa told her to make a snowman out of grahm crackers. Amy graciously accepted the challenge and this is what she made!

And this one is my beautiful house! At first it was staying up really well... but that didn't last long. I was able to get a picture of it while it was still up. I was lucky. But I liked it while it lasted!

It was such a fun night! Thanks guys!

IT'S OVER!!!!!

I'm done with finals!! To be precise, I finished this morning at 11:00. I made it through my first semester of college!! It's official!! College isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but they do let you adjust before they throw you into all of the really hard stuff. That could make a difference. But hey, I made it and am so proud of myself! Now I get to go back home to Mesa and spend a good month there where I don't have to pay for groceries, and I can have a car to drive again, and a while bunch of good stuff like that!! But then it's back to school after that... It never ends...

(This is how I feel sometimes in college, like I'm really really little...)

There is Christmas in the Air!!!!

So last night we made a trip to Dollar Tree and bought Christmas decorations! Kylie brought up a little foot and a half tall Christmas Tree, and we decorated it with necklaces and earings. (Yes we are poor college students)

And we bought plastic flowers and Aubree and Kylie made them all pretty and Christmas-y!!

We also cut Snowflakes out of paper and hung them up by our kitchen to add to it.

Putting up our Christmas decorations made me so happy!!! It feels like Christmas now!!! I hope evryone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! I love you all!!!

My Life for the Past Week...ish...

K, so sorry I haven't been keeping up to date on everything that's been going on. So a few Saturdays ago, we had some of our friends come up to Flagstaff to visit us. Thomas, Kathe, Jessica and Trevor came on Saturday. We spent the day with them, and had tons of fun!! We just hung around, and ate, and tried to find a park, and watched a movie, and ate, and had a blast together!!! And then they decided to spend the night (the girls were in one apartment and the boys were in another). And the next morning, MORE FRIENDS CAME!!! On Sunday, Nick, Becky, Chandler, and Jared came and we played more games and ate some more (we couldn't do much cuz it was Sunday). But then we went to the regional Broadcast for church, and had a wonderful spiritual experience. Then we played some more games, and then the sad time came when they all had to leave. I miss them so so much!! and can't wait to see them again!!

This is Aubree and Thomas taking their "engament pictures" It's cute I like it!!

This is me, Kylie, and Jessica at the Union eating our Jamba Juice!! I love them!!!

This is some of us that were there on Sunday before they left! We had such a fun time!!

This is me and Kylie and Trevor in the car!!!

And this is me and my Lovely Amy ACTUALLY SMILING IN A PICTURE!!! I'm so proud of us!!!

Thanks for an Amazing weekend guys!! I love you and miss you!!!

And then yesterday was Veterans Day, so there was NO SCHOOL!!! yay!!! That night, we went with to Sedona with some friends and ate dinner at the Wildflower Bread Company. It was really good!!! I like bread a lot I've decided. Then we walked around for a little bit and looked at the shops. It was really pretty and a really nice night!! Then we went back to good old Flagstaff and got Dairy Queen (even though as we were standing outside while eating it and FREEEZING!!!). But it was really delicous!!! And after Dairy Queen, we went back to some of the boys apartment, and watched a movie. It was one of the old Western, John Wayne Movies. I've never heard about it until that night. It was called Big Jake. It was good!! It was so fun!!! Much better than sitting at home wishing I had a life, like I usually do.

We didn't take very many pictures, but here's one of me, Kylie, and our friend Carissa wearing cool hats we found at one of the stores in Sedona!

And this is me and Carissa again with a random statue of a Cowboy that we saw!

That's all I can think that happened in the past couple of weeks. Other than this, my life has been school, music, church, and more school. That's the glorious life of a college student!!

Sigh...

So... this is me... once again... sitting at home on a Friday night... doing nothing... We did go to the institute activity tonight, but now we are home... being lame... This is a sneak peek into my weekends. I do nothing on Friday night, or watch a movie, and Saturday I clean and do homework, and Saturday night, I do nothing and watch another movie. It's SO much fun! You should all try it!!

And this is a random picture to go with this pathetic post... But it's a really pretty flower that I found on campus!!!

Day of the Dead

So last weekend was Halloween, and the institute had a dance!! So of course we all dressed up (except for Catey of course). I wore one of my family's lovely M&M costumes, Aubree was Belle, Kylie was Batman's biggest fan, Anne was a cat, and Lauri was... we're not really sure, but I think we decided that night that was a rich person. But we had SO much fun getting all dressed up and passing out candy to the few trick-or-treaters we had. And then we made our way to the dance! The theme was haunted prom, so they had it all decorated to fit that. It was pretty cool. And I am proud to say that my roommate and friend Aubree Stradling was awarded Prom Queen that night. The King was our way cool friend Mario, who had on the coolest light up shoes!!! They were such a cute pair! And so we pretty much danced the night away the rest of the night. It was so much fun for my first Halloween away from home!!

This is me having fun with my camera while I was waiting for everyone else to finish getting ready.

And this is all of us all dressed up. Aren't we amazing!!!

And this is us again... being more ourselves than the last picture...

And this is a picture of me and my friend Darrell at the dance. Aubree let him wear her tootsie roll costume, and I was an M&M, so of course, Kylie had to get a picture of us together. And yes, he is eating me. I can now say that a tootsie roll once tried to eat me...

The Glorious Life of a College Freshman!!!!

So, it is Friday night, and guess what I am doing? Oh ya... sitting at home doing nothing. This is the typical Friday and Saturday for me so far in college. We eat chocolate or/and ice cream, watch a movie, mess around on our computers, and do nothing. And then we usually end up falling asleep on the couch/floor for most of the night. This is sad, but true... Welp, this was just a glimpse into a college freshman's life... more to come!!!!!

I'm Still Here!!!!

I'm still alive and pumping up here in Flagstaff! Nothing too excting is going on in my life right now. We went hinking last Saturday with the institute up by Snow Bowl. It's called Wethorford Trail. We started hiking at about 10:30. I stayed with Kylie for the whole thing. We got almost to the saddle, but decided to turn around because it was REEEEEALLLY cold. It was just a cold weekend randomly, and then it was really windy plus we were up on a mountain. All of those factors came together to make a really cold hike. But it was still really fun! I met a few new people, and got a work out. That's my kind of weekend!!! It was really pretty up there too, but I don't have any pictures because I didn't take my camera with me. But I'm working on getting some, so I'll hopefully be able to post some pictures in the near future. But I am here and surviving!! I love you all!!!

Thomas and Kathe!!!!!!

Last weekend Thomas and Kathe came to visit us for the day last Saturday and spent the whole day with us. They suprised us and made us breakfast and then we went and walked around downtown Flagstaff (there's some werd shops there...). Then we went and ate lunch at this amazing resteraunt called The Place. It was so delicious!!! The rest of the day was kind of kicked back and relaxed, but still it was SO much fun, because they were there!!! I just want to tell them thanks so much for everything and I love them!!!!! I had a blast!!!

What the Bruise?!?!

So last week, I'm siting one of our lovely chairs here in our apartment, and look down and see this bruise on my arm. It was a faint green, but it was definately there. I was like what the heck?! How did that get there. I don't remember getting a bruise. This puzzled me greatly as to why I would have a bruise on my arm (since I'm so bruise proof haha). And then for FHE on Monday night, our ward played the infamous red rover. Not even thinking about the bruise on my arm, I played and had a GREAT time! People tried to get through me, but I never let them. Instead they punched me in he stomach, hit me in the head, and made my arms really red. That night when we got home, I looked down and happened to see my bruise 10 TIMES DARKER!!! I was thinking wow... Red Rover did that?! Holy Cow! It doesn't hurt at all, but it's really fun to look at. It's actaully a pretty bruise (yes I just said pretty bruise). I have fun telling people that my boyfriend beats me... which is actually really sad if it was true... but I always tell them the truth, don't worry. So ya... this is just something random that's happening in my life!

Oh, and about the picture... I tried to take a good picture of the bruise, but it didn't work too well. It doesn't look as dark as it really is, but it gives you some kind of clue to what it looks like.

And sorry if you don't want to see it. I apologize in advance.

Get a Clue!!!

So, about a week ago (friday night), there was a Friday night activity for institute here in Flagstaff. It was life size clue!!!! It was a formal dinner. So to prepare for this night, me and my lovely roommate Kylie went to Goodwill to look for formal dresses. I found a really pretty pink one that had flowers and sparkles on it! I was so excited to wear it!! And Kylie found a pretty white dress with black polk-a-dots! I was so proud of us for finding them at Goodwill!!!
After taking pictures of us in our pretty dresses (haha we're such girls :P) We went to the dinner with our big brother figure here in Flagstaff, Greg Smith (In his purple suit coat that we bought for him at Goodwill). And for dinner they feed us... something.... I'm not quite sure what it was... It was... interesting... And then we got to go around to the different rooms and ask the different characters questions and stuff like that. We get back to the main dining room, and we have to put who, what, and where. My team took a shot in the dark and ended up getting the room and the weapon right, but we didn't get the person... And lastly was the dessert :) There was supposed to be cookies made to eat, but the cookie dough was put in the freezer, and so unfortunately wasn't able to have cookies made out of them. They did have some guacamole and the half-thawed cookie dough to eat. It was... and interesting night that I NEVER forget.

Here I Am!

So pretty much this blog is a result of me being bored/not wanting to do my homework. I don't know how often or if I will even ever post again, but I have one just in case! So you can check my blog, but I don't garuntee anything. I'll probably just post when I'm bored or when I don't want to do my homework... that might be a lot... haha!
