Winter Wonderland!!

Yesterday it snowed, lightly, but it was snowing (and cold just to add). It was just enough enough to leave a new beautiful white layer over everything. As I was walking home from school, I saw the beauty of the snow. It was breath-taking! And because there was snow and ice everywhere, all of the cars were going really slow, so they weren't as noisy as they usually are. So the ending result was me walking home in a white wonderland that was so peaceful and quite (comparatively). It made my day! Also, as we were walking to and from FHE, we were able to help a few people who were having problems with their car and the the snow and ice. It felt so good to help them in their time of need. I know I would love anyone who did the same for me. One of the ladies called us Angels. It made me think of Elder Holland's talk in this last General Conference, "The Ministery of Angels." We can all be someone's angel and help them when they need it. Service is what the Savior did his entire life. He was always serving and helping someone. I'm so grateful for his example that he set for me, and hope that I can continue to become more like him.

Gingerbread Houses!!

A few days before we came to Mesa, Aubree, Amy, Carissa, and I made gingerbread houses (out of grahm crackers of course). We made some frosting and made our houses and decorated them using lots and lots of candy! It was kind of messy, but it was so much fun! And these are the houses that came out of this fun night!

This one was built by the one and only... CARISSA!!! Who else would put one random yellow M&M among the reds and the greens?

And this creative little house is by non other than... Aubree!! She was finally able to get a house to stay up!! Yay!!

And this beautiful... well it's not exactly a house... but it's Amy's!! The reason her's is a snowman and not a house is because Amy was also having troubles keeping her house up, and so Carissa told her to make a snowman out of grahm crackers. Amy graciously accepted the challenge and this is what she made!

And this one is my beautiful house! At first it was staying up really well... but that didn't last long. I was able to get a picture of it while it was still up. I was lucky. But I liked it while it lasted!

It was such a fun night! Thanks guys!

IT'S OVER!!!!!

I'm done with finals!! To be precise, I finished this morning at 11:00. I made it through my first semester of college!! It's official!! College isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but they do let you adjust before they throw you into all of the really hard stuff. That could make a difference. But hey, I made it and am so proud of myself! Now I get to go back home to Mesa and spend a good month there where I don't have to pay for groceries, and I can have a car to drive again, and a while bunch of good stuff like that!! But then it's back to school after that... It never ends...

(This is how I feel sometimes in college, like I'm really really little...)

There is Christmas in the Air!!!!

So last night we made a trip to Dollar Tree and bought Christmas decorations! Kylie brought up a little foot and a half tall Christmas Tree, and we decorated it with necklaces and earings. (Yes we are poor college students)

And we bought plastic flowers and Aubree and Kylie made them all pretty and Christmas-y!!

We also cut Snowflakes out of paper and hung them up by our kitchen to add to it.

Putting up our Christmas decorations made me so happy!!! It feels like Christmas now!!! I hope evryone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! I love you all!!!

My Life for the Past Week...ish...

K, so sorry I haven't been keeping up to date on everything that's been going on. So a few Saturdays ago, we had some of our friends come up to Flagstaff to visit us. Thomas, Kathe, Jessica and Trevor came on Saturday. We spent the day with them, and had tons of fun!! We just hung around, and ate, and tried to find a park, and watched a movie, and ate, and had a blast together!!! And then they decided to spend the night (the girls were in one apartment and the boys were in another). And the next morning, MORE FRIENDS CAME!!! On Sunday, Nick, Becky, Chandler, and Jared came and we played more games and ate some more (we couldn't do much cuz it was Sunday). But then we went to the regional Broadcast for church, and had a wonderful spiritual experience. Then we played some more games, and then the sad time came when they all had to leave. I miss them so so much!! and can't wait to see them again!!

This is Aubree and Thomas taking their "engament pictures" It's cute I like it!!

This is me, Kylie, and Jessica at the Union eating our Jamba Juice!! I love them!!!

This is some of us that were there on Sunday before they left! We had such a fun time!!

This is me and Kylie and Trevor in the car!!!

And this is me and my Lovely Amy ACTUALLY SMILING IN A PICTURE!!! I'm so proud of us!!!

Thanks for an Amazing weekend guys!! I love you and miss you!!!

And then yesterday was Veterans Day, so there was NO SCHOOL!!! yay!!! That night, we went with to Sedona with some friends and ate dinner at the Wildflower Bread Company. It was really good!!! I like bread a lot I've decided. Then we walked around for a little bit and looked at the shops. It was really pretty and a really nice night!! Then we went back to good old Flagstaff and got Dairy Queen (even though as we were standing outside while eating it and FREEEZING!!!). But it was really delicous!!! And after Dairy Queen, we went back to some of the boys apartment, and watched a movie. It was one of the old Western, John Wayne Movies. I've never heard about it until that night. It was called Big Jake. It was good!! It was so fun!!! Much better than sitting at home wishing I had a life, like I usually do.

We didn't take very many pictures, but here's one of me, Kylie, and our friend Carissa wearing cool hats we found at one of the stores in Sedona!

And this is me and Carissa again with a random statue of a Cowboy that we saw!

That's all I can think that happened in the past couple of weeks. Other than this, my life has been school, music, church, and more school. That's the glorious life of a college student!!
